The Black Lutheran Alumni Scholarship Team (B.L.A.S.T.) is proud to announce the awarding of its fourth Peggy Greer Calloway / Richard J. Ridley, Jr. Trailblazer Award Scholarship to recent 2025 Concordia Lutheran High School graduates.

Our $1,000 recipient is Paikea Early-Aden, who will be attending DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she plans to major in Art History. The $500 award goes to Nysia Walker, who plans to enroll at IU Bloomington and pursue a Pre-Law track.

Both of these outstanding students bring impressive credentials in academics and community service. In keeping with our tradition, the recipients were selected on Juneteenth—a day that reminds us that freedom, especially the freedom to pursue education, is paramount. Education opens the doors to the world of possibilities our forefathers envisioned for us.
